The following table summarizes the most important new features and enhancements available in IBM(R) Lotus(R) Sametime(R).

Feature or enhancement	Description
Request microphone mode	You can use two modes of computer audio: Automatic Microphone mode or the new Request Microphone mode. Request Microphone mode allows one person to speak at a time.
Turn off group chat	You can create meetings that do not include the group chat feature.
More viewing area in maximized projection	Maximized projection mode has been improved. In maximize mode, toolbars, the status bar, and controls for restoring the window are no longer displayed -- allowing more room for meeting content.
E-mail messages with meeting details	When you create a meeting, you can automatically receive e-mail messages with meeting details.
Additional right-click menu support	Right-click menu choices are now available in the meeting projector area.
Resizable sidebar	You can fully resize the width of the sidebar that contains the participants list, Web Pages, and group chat.
Logging in	Meeting log in is now included right in the meeting center, along with the ability to log out.
Multiple selection options in the participants list	You can select multiple names in the participants list and perform right-click menu actions.
Support for bidirectional languages	The Sametime meeting interface now supports bidirectional languages such as Hebrew and Arabic.
Faster meeting startup	Joining meetings takes less time, so you can get into your meeting sooner.
